Yardi is currently seeking a Data Analyst who is passionate about data and driven by the challenge of transforming raw numbers into meaningful insights. As a Data Analyst I at Yardi, you'll embark on a journey of growth and learning, executing analysis projects that directly impact our internal management and client decisions. You'll be at the heart of our data operations, gathering, cleaning, and transforming data, then diving deep into analysis to uncover trends and patterns that tell a compelling story.
What You'll Do:
- Work under supportive supervision to complete analysis projects from start to finish.
- Engage in all stages of data analysis, from defining data requirements and cleaning data to performing sophisticated analysis and reporting your findings.
- Utilize leading analytical tools and statistical techniques to merge, scrub, and transform data, ensuring high-quality insights.
- Communicate your findings clearly to leaders through well-prepared reports and presentations using Excel, Tableau, and PowerPoint.
- Create custom reports to meet the specific needs of our internal management and clients, ensuring their requirements are met with precision.
- Continuously learn and improve by expanding your knowledge of datasets, analysis techniques, and industry trends.
- Assists with QA of data and processes as needed.
- Creates and maintains database tables to serve reporting needs.
- Sets up custom screening criteria for clients.
- Completes ad hoc data requests using SQL; Documents new processes.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor's degree in business intelligence, statistics, management information systems, mathematics, economics, computer science, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of quantitative and technical education and experience.
- Two plus (2+) years of experience as a data analyst working with large amounts of data.
- Experience using statistical or visualization packages for analyzing datasets (e.g., Tableau or comparable).
- Understanding of data mining and statistical analysis
- Understanding of relational databases; strong SQL query writing ability; proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information
- Strong attention to detail with a high-level of accuracy
- Ability to meet critical deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently with a high initiative and a sense of accountability and ownership
- Strong problem solving and organization skills
- Ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships across departments and teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
