Yardi is seeking a motivated Team Leader to guide our Accounts Receivable team. In this crucial role, you'll ensure that our billing, collections, and financial record-keeping run smoothly and efficiently. Your leadership will be key in maintaining strong relationships with our clients and suppliers, as well as in supporting and developing your team members. You'll also play a vital part in setting our team's standards and evaluating their progress. What You'll Do:

  • Supervise and ensure each team member is performing the collection of outstanding debts in support of DSO goal.
  • Conduct monthly aging reviews with each team member to ensure account payments are committed.
  • Interface with and maintain positive working relationships with high level Yardi clients.
  • Maintains expert knowledge of A/R concepts, models best practices, and serve as a resource for A/R peers providing guidance and assistance with complex issues.
  • Coach team members to improve their technology, product, and industry knowledge.
  • Model and explain problem solving techniques and provide guidance for communicating with clients.
  • Assist team members in resolving escalated client issues, problems, or requests.
  • Ensure employee training and career needs are met, and work schedules are honored.
  • Encourage team members to look for opportunities for process simplification and improvements.
  • Monitor individual and team performance metrics for opportunities of continuous improvement.
  • Use positive influence with clients to effectively navigate sensitive client objections, communicate difficult messages, and preemptively address potential client concerns.
  • Conduct regular on time performance appraisals of team members and conduct special appraisals as needed.
  • Perform special projects related to department processes, procedures, training, and client support; and perform other Yardi duties as assigned.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or similar field of study; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Six plus (6+) years of accounts receivable or general accounting experience.
  • Two (2) years of leadership, supervisory and/or project management experience
  • Proven experience positively influencing clients, peers and management.
  • Proven experience independently managing and resolving a variety of Yardi client A/R issues.
  • Proven experience mentoring, coaching, and training other team members.
  • Demonstrates an ability to nurture a cooperative, team-oriented environment.
  • Technical fluency in all the following areas: Microsoft operating system, including advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, and relational databases.
  • Proven expert knowledge of accounts receivable concepts.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong commitment to client satisfaction.
  • Effective phone and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proven project management skills, able to handle multiple priorities.
  • Superior organizational, time management, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to mentor and train team members.
  • Independent decision-making and problem-solving proficiency.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
  • Team player with a collaborative attitude, able to work well across all employee levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications.
