Salary Range: $45,811.00-$76,097.00 + Eligble for bonus 

 

Position Summary:

The Billing Administrator is responsible for all operational activities as they relate to the A/R and A/P billing processes and ensures that the day-to-day workflow is completed in a consistent, accurate and timely manner. The Billing Administrator functions as the primary billing contact, particularly for high volume customer accounts. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensures the entire invoice preparation process is accurate, complete, and timely
  • Review daily billings processed and follow up on exceptions
  • Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation procedures
  • Work closely with pricing to confirm rates
  • Coordinate accurate system set-up and maintenance of the billing process- including customer accounts, contracts, and other control files and records
  • Resolve billing inquiries from internal and external customers
  • Investigate and provide follow up on identified issues and disputed invoices
  • Assist billing staff in the resolution of billing problems
  • Track aging and follow-up with customers on payments in delinquent status
  • Review, maintain, and generate reporting for Management review
  • Ensure completion of periodic, year-end and internal audit requests
  • Provides subject matter expertise in Billing Systems, processes and reporting requirements.
  • Support departmental manager in auditing and overseeing work done by the Billing Coordinator.
  • Develop and implement best practices and process improvements for the Branch billing processes.
  • Submit overage, shortage and damages (OS&D) claims to Corporate Accounting Department.
  • Manage special projects as assigned

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferably with an emphasis on finance or accounting) and/or 2 years of related experience is required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
