Job Description

The Product Quality Engineer will be based in Kallang, Singapore.

Here is a glimpse of what you'll do:

  • Interface with customers on technical and quality issues and improvement initiatives
  • Responsible for managing customer audits and regulatory and compliance agency audits
  • Review technical problems and procedures of departments and recommends solutions to problems or changes in procedures
  • Confer with engineers about quality assurance of new products designed and manufactured products on market to rectify problems
  • Responsible for authorizing the released of final products to customer
  • Identify needs for evaluation and assessment with regard to regulatory issues and conducts or enlists internal and/or external experts to investigate, test and audit
  • Recommends corrective action to management and implements approved solutions and follow up on implementation plans to ensure compliance
  • Review discrepancy reports and implements corrective actions
  • Ensure compliance with the Company's Quality System and applicable regulatory requirements such as ISO 13485
  • Develop, establish and maintain quality assurance programs, policies, processes, procedures and controls ensuring that performance and quality of products conform to established standards, agency guidelines and customer requirements
  • Provide factory support to identify and resolve issues associated with purchased parts, materials and manufacturing
  • Interface with manufacturing, engineering, quality and customer representatives to develop quality systems and ensure compliance, determine responsibilities and solutions when required
  • Contributes to the workplace safety and health improvement for the employees, as well as environmental protection, by adhering to the company's Environmental, Health and Safety policies and procedures, and helping to achieve EHS objectives and targets through participation of EHS programs
  • Participate and adhere to Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (CSER) policy, programs and procedures

Here is some of what you'll need (required):

  • Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Electromechanical Engineering / Quality Engineering / Manufacturing Process Technology
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in the manufacturing environment
  • Ability to interpret within established procedures and practices as well as exercise independent judgment in complex situations

Here are a few of our preferred experiences:

  • Knowledge and experience in ISO 13485 Quality System Requirements
  • Medical devices industry background
