We currently have an immediate opportunity for a Technical Editor Part-time in our Boston, MA office. This position will provide an opportunity to work on a wide range of environmental permitting, siting, and hazardous waste remediation.Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include editing, typing, formatting, technical editing, proofreading, and ensuring the documents follow the prescribed style, consistency use and format guidelines for various contracts in producing high quality client deliverables in a timely manner
Responsibilities include working directly with project managers and coordinating materials between document authors, GIS staff, word processing, and graphic artists to ensure each document meets the company's standard level of quality
Provide document production support using various software applications to produce
environmental impact statements
health and safety plans
remedial investigation/feasibility reports
quality assurance project plans
human health risk and ecological risk assessments
sampling and analysis plans
statements of work, and various other documents
Must have at least a B.S. or B.A. degree in a pertinent field
A background or experience with an engineering firm, biological, chemical, or environmental sciences or permitting would be helpful
Work closely with senior technical editor and project team
Experience editing and coordinating production of small and large technical documents, including environmental impact assessments, environmental assessments, site assessments, remedial investigations/feasibility studies, quality assurance/quality control plans, and monitoring reports
Experience in creating company and project specific style guides
High production of documents for delivery to clients and specific agencies
Must be organized and prioritize work in an efficient manner to achieve tight deadlines
Must be a team player and be able to communicate with all staff levels
Coordinate Teams meetings to collaborate
