Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Systems Engineering, or similar technical field
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience relevant to military space-enabled operations and associated technologies
  • Demonstrated proficiency in operational and technical analysis of U.S. and adversary CONOPS; Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures; and technical space-based capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct research and analysis to reach defensible conclusions using incomplete information, to develop well-written analytic products to inform decision making, and to present analytic results orally
  • Active DoD Top Secret security clearance required; eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) desired

Desired

  • Master of Science degree in a quantitative field (e.g. Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Systems Engineering, or other Engineering field)
  • Demonstrated experience applying intelligence data on near-peer adversary capabilities to support operational planning, analysis, or training; experience working with the Intelligence Community, specifically the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) or National Security Agency (NSA), a plus
  • Experience working on headquarters staff within the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Joint Staff, or the Services


Responsibilities

SPA seeks a passionate and dedicated military professional with a demonstrated record of success in dynamic environments to support a rapidly growing project. The individual will work as part of a cross-functional, high-performance team conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis to inform decision makers at the highest levels of the government, including the Secretary of Defense, Congress, and the White House. This position will address the development and ongoing improvement of a space domain technology roadmap and conduct detailed operational assessments to identify requirements for new investments in space technologies. A successful candidate will demonstrate expertise and fluency in space-enabled military operations as well as the underlying or enabling technology portfolios. Successful candidates will quickly be rewarded with leadership opportunities and direct engagement with external clients and stakeholders.
